For 120HP models with Turbo R Intercooler Upgrade
all 2017 X3 models (including standard, X DS, X RS, Max)
all 2018 X3 Turbo models (including all 120HP and Turbo R models)

Meant for use when adding an intercooler to your 120HP X3 Turbo (all models). Although the wiring is there on the car from the factory the ECU will not control your intercooler fan on/off. Install this switch kit and you can control your intercooler fan.

Also use for any X3 Turbo to bypass the ECU's control over the intercooler fan and be able to turn the fan on or off anytime. If your car came stock with the intercooler and fan, or if you are running a full 2018 Turbo Spec upgrade on your 120HP car (and you are sure the ECU is controlling your fan) then you should run an override fan switch kit instead of this on/off kit. Note: Yes you can plug the car into buds and "test" the intercooler fan, if everything is plugged in the fan will come on. But, the ECU will not be turning that fan on anytime if you are running a 120HP turbo ECU tune version.
