        X3 Turbo R what a beast! But we are here to make it better faster meaner. 100+ miles of dyno testing and just finished up field testing for drive-ability our CanAm tunes are going to be tearing up the competition once again. Our pump gas tunes have been tested at both sea level and altitude and have proven to be reliable and fast.

        Putting down 148 stock wheel HP is an impressive number. I have seen lower stock wheel HP numbers out there but one thing to remember is that the X3 will not make power to its potential until it has some hours and miles on it. The machine our baseline numbers were ran on had over 100 miles and 5hrs of drive time. A brand new machine with no miles may run lets say 136HP but that's not a realistic power number when the same machine will run 148 after it has had enough time on it.

        The big power increase from the 2017 to 2018 does come in part to it's higher stock boost levels. A 2018 machine that is broke in and ready to be driven hard will run an average of 14 pounds of boost, up from the 12 pound average of the 2017. So the HP gains from a 2018 compared to a 2017 are not as big but we are already starting off making a lot more power.

        Tuning stages 1-3int are meant to be used with a good quality premium fuel with a minimum octane rating of 91 and performance at an average of 15.5 pounds of boost. You can run the stock waste gate crack pressure at 6psi or bump that up to 7psi for a harder hit off the line. Also there is no need for larger fuel injectors when running pump gas. Stages 2+ I would suggest performance clutching, KWI is the most knowledgeable with the X3.

        Super Stock is a tune with improved fueling, ignition timing, and additional standard tune features but with a stock 14psi average boost.

        We have a Stage 1 tune for an all stock machine (stock exhaust) that makes a very impressive 163.5 rear wheel HP which is an increase of 15.5 HP over stock.

        Our Stage 2 is tuned for use with a modified exhaust, either a cat delete pipe running the stock muffler. Or inversely a performance muffler running the stock cat pipe. Both have proven to be a similar performance mod removing some of the stock exhaust restriction. At 165.4 rear wheel HP and an increase of 17.4 HP over stock.

        For a full performance exhaust that removes the stock catalytic converter and has an open performance muffler we have a Stage 3. With an increase of 20.4 HP over stock this tune runs about 168 rear wheel HP. We have tested this with a Trinity Full System, our own in house made Bullet race muffler and the new Treal Performance 3" system. Power gains are very similar over all the open performance exhausts tested with slight low end TQ gains in favor of the 3" and really loud Bullet. Overall max HP is very very similar with any open performance exhaust we have tested.

        Now for the best power on pump gas and my favorite our Stage 3int tune setup to be used with out X3 Velocity Intake System. At well over 170 rear wheel HP these are numbers we didn't see with the 2017 X3 until you started running high boost and high octane race fuel. It was easy with the 2018 Stage 3int tune to get a HP number over 177 doing a "hero run" on a cooled down car, the 173.7 rear wheel HP number you see on the dyno graph is representative of no BS on an X3 that is up to full temp and had been run over and over.

        E85 Tuning includes larger fuel injectors. These tuning stages require larger fuel injectors which are included (genuine Bosch OEM Turbo) with hardware. Gas tuning stages with these injectors are in development now. I have also included an ECO 15psi performance tune for switch on the fly performance with 18psi in Sport Mode. Our e85 tuning reflects performance when running 85% ethanol pump e85. Check your local stations for availability, if in doubt of your fuels ethanol content check with your local fuel supplier or purchase a testing unit.

        New Aftermarket Intercooler tuning stages now available. Tested and tuned using the Treal Performance high efficiency intercooler these new tuning stages, TIC INJ-Stage 3 and TIC INJ-Stage 3INT, make great safe power on 91 octane unleaded fuel. Reducing the charge temps allows for running higher boost and still remaining in the safe zone. Both tuning stages absolutely require an aftermarket intercooler (suggested to run your intercooler fan on when driving hard), larger fuel injectors (included), a free flowing performance exhaust (cat delete is OK) and are tuned either with or without an intake. Also, stay away from chinese made intercoolers (Agency).

        How to Order


        Step 1, select your tuning stage based on the performance modifications you have made for exhaust and intake, and the fuel you intend to run
        Step 2, choose the correct model/year where applicable
        Step 3, select your options for RPM limit, fan temp, etc.

        Note: If you are purchasing a new ECU for a CanAm vehicle you will still need to send in your original ECU to us so that it can be read and "cloned" into the new ECU. UPS and USPS is preferred, please do not send "FedEx direct signature required"

        Step 5, once we receive your ECU into the shop we can make the modifications necessary and sent the ECU back out the next business day. Typically same day service is very hard to promise, and there are occasions were we are not at the shop for a day or two (in this case you would be notified after you order whether there is an upcoming day that our shop would be closed).

        Upgrading your tune to a higher level

        Do you already have a Power Tune in your X3 and want to move up to a higher power level tuning stage? You never pay the full price for a new tune on the same machine. Upgrade your tuning stage for $100 you can order online here $100 Tune Upgrade. Tune upgrades apply to the original tune purchaser / owner, fuel injectors and / or Power Visions do not apply.         If you have a problem in the future, clutch blows up, EPS stops working, and you gotta take it in for warranty work. Or a factory recall comes up and you need to take your machine in?? No worries, we've got you covered with Free Warranty/Recall Flashback Protection. What does this mean? Basically if you have an issue and need your stock ECU back to stock we will flash it back to stock for you no charge. How? When you send in your ECU first we will read your stock flash and save the information under your name. If you need it "back to stock" in the future you can send your ECU back, we will put your stock flash right back on your original ECU. If the dealer needs to connect to your ECU it will be yours, and stock, and never looks like it had been touched! Matching serial numbers, matching everything. And, we will even send it back free of charge Priority Shipping within 24 hours of receiving it. After the work is done, send it back to us (again) and free of charge we will flash it back to a pwrTune full performance tune and send it back to you. This does only apply to your first instance (one Recall and/or one Warranty Issue), after one time the fee will be $20 each flash and you'd have to pay for shipping.
