The Can Am Maverick R is an animal pumping out an amazing stock 240 advertised horsepower through an industry first 7 speed DCT transmission. Its good, and we are here to make it much, much better! We all want more power and performance, without sacrificing reliability. Our Power Tune performance tune upgrades are Dyno developed Dyno tested Dyno Proven and available in several stages ready to take your MavR to the next level.

After removing all torque limitations and speed limiters, optimizing fuel and timing curves, improving and increasing boost levels your MavR will be more responsive and powerful. You will retain the distinctive Normal, Sport, and Sport+ Power Modes. You will want to take advantage of the lower cooling fan on/off temps and increased rev limit which goes along with the included transmission tuning adjustments.

Stock the Maverick R transmission tuning is conservative and can be made much better and still very safe and reliable. We move the stock wide open throttle (WOT) max RPM shift point in Sport and Sport+ from 8,200 to 8,800 rpm while leaving the Normal mode shift points stock by default. The shift pressure firmness is adjusted for quicker more positive shifting. And the quick action downshifts won't leave you wishing you were in a lower gear while your busy hustling the car out of that tight corner or ripping up the base of a big dune. We suggest a 8,800 rpm rev limit, stock is 8,500. You can chose to go up to 9,000 as an option or higher if you've got the valve train upgrades to do so.

Note: Dyno tuning was done with 4th gear dyno pulls running 32 inch tires. We ran our in house built and Made in the USA 3.5 inch aluminum Velocity Intake were noted, and used a Treal Performance exhaust system. The power levels with the 110 and 100LL tune levels shown were ran with exhaust and intake installed.

Leaded Fuel Note: Running leaded fuels, whether is 110 leaded, or a mix of 110 and unleaded to get you down to 100, can and will damage your o2 sensor. If you want to run leaded fuel we strongly suggest that you buy a replacement OEM o2 and keep it in your truck or trailer. If you never get a check engine light for a bad o2 sensor, change it once a season anyway just to be safe. The lead deposits will get on the sensor and throw off the readings and eventually cause the sensor to fail. There is no way to clean a lead contaminated sensor. Having to replace your sensor is a cost of making that big horsepower.

MG1 ECU Unlock Service by HP Tuners

You will send in your original stock ECU to our shop, which will then promptly to sent in to HP tuners to perform an Unlock. This step is required and will allow your ECU to be tuned after, the unlock cannot be un-done by a trip to the dealer. The unlock service can take 1-5 business days and that does not include transit time. We have faster turnaround time options which use faster shipping either UPS 2nd day or Next Day service for an additional charge.

Add the Power Flash RTD Handheld with Tuning Credits

Do you want the ability to change tuning levels, have different options for the same tune level, purchase tuning from another shop, or be able to put your machine back to stock anytime? The Power Flash RTD (remote tuning device) can do just that. The device is easiest to use through a smart phone. If going with the Power Flash handheld device you will have the ability to put your ECU back to stock anytime for warranty or service work. You will still need to have the ECU sent in for the unlock service to be able to use this RTD tuning device. Here is a link to a youtube video that shows how the process and setup works:

This handheld will not come pre-loaded with a tune file, you will need to connect to your vehicle and go through the setup and initial read process that auto populates your stock info into the TDN network. We would then create the performance tune file based off your cars information and load that tune files onto your account. Your can put back to stock anytime, you would need the device, up to date smart phone, and internet access to do so. Tuning credits will be pre-loaded to the device which will apply to your vehicles VIN number you will not need to purchase additional credits to add/change multiple tunes. You will also have the ability to perform data logging and read or clear any trouble codes that may come up.

How to Order

Step 1, select your tuning stage based on the performance modifications you have made for exhaust and intake, and the fuel you intend to run
Step 2, choose to add the RTD Handheld yes or no
Step 3, choose the correct model/year where applicable
Step 4, select your options for RPM limit, fan temp, etc.

Step 6, once we receive your ECU into the shop we will send it off to HP Tuners for unlock by the next business day. Once it is back here we will make the modifications necessary and sent the ECU back out the next business day. Typically same day service is very hard to promise, and there are occasions were we are not at the shop for a day or two (in this case you would be notified after you order whether there is an upcoming day that our shop would be closed).

Upgrading your tune to a higher level

Are you wanting to want to move up to a higher power level tuning stage in the future? You never pay the full price for a new tune on the same machine. The minimum charge for a upgrade or downgrade on your tune is $100.

Free Warranty/Recall Flashback Protection

If you have a problem in the future, trans takes a crap, power steering blows up, and you gotta take it in for warranty work. Or more annoying another RZR recall?? Come on! No worries, we've got you covered with Free Warranty/Recall Flashback Protection. What does this mean? Basically if you have an issue and need your stock ECU back to stock we will flash it back to stock for you no charge. How? When you send in your ECU first we will read your stock flash and save the information under your name. If you need it "back to stock" in the future you can send your ECU back, we will put your stock flash right back on your original ECU. If the dealer needs to connect to your ECU it will be yours, and stock, and never looks like it had been touched! Matching serial numbers, matching everything. And, we will even send it back free of charge Priority Shipping within 24 hours of receiving it. After the work is done, send it back to us (again) and free of charge we will flash it back to a pwrTune full performance tune and send it back to you. This does only apply to your first instance (one Recall and/or one Warranty Issue), after one time the fee will be $20 each flash and you'd have to pay for shipping.
